A bestselling author of award-winning novels (including a Christy Award Book of the Year) as well as a former teacher, her favorite role of all is mom to her four kids, and wife to Ben, who keeps her laughing.

Alissa Flanagan is an admirer of all things noble & lovely, on the canvas and on the page. She’s held many jobs in her lifetime, but she is currently a charity worker & an art teacher! Raised in California, she now lives in England with her husband, Tom, and her rascally rabbit, Roley. Alissa is the mastermind who brought Lanternwood’s premier picture book, The Lamplighter, to life through her timeless, vintage-inspired illustrations.
